CASIO G-SHOCK TEAMS UP WITH BURTON SNOWBOARDS FOR THIRD LIMITED-EDITION COLLABORATION MODEL
New MUDMASTER Features Unique Duck Camouflage Pattern

DOVER, NJ, FEBRUARY 1, 2018 -Today, Casio G-SHOCK G-SHOCK announces the latest collaboration model in partnership with leading snowboarding and lifestyle brand, Burton Snowboards. The two brands, who first partnered in 2013 in honor of Casio G-SHOCK’s 30th anniversary, now introduce their third collaboration watch: the limited edition MUDMASTER (GG1000BTN-1A) featuring a unique camouflage pattern inspired by classical utilitarian look mixed with young subculture of duck camo. The timepiece also includes Burton’s ethos of “no bad trips" engraved on the case back.

Burton is one of the most recognized global brands in snowboarding – best known for growing snowboarding from a backyard hobby to a world-class sport. This collaboration, timed with Casio G-SHOCK’s 35th anniversary and the upcoming Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships, combines Burton’s legendary product quality and commitment to the outdoors with G-SHOCK’s versatility and unmatched toughness.

“G-SHOCK has been a great partner of Burton for years and we were honored to create a watch to celebrate their 35th anniversary," said Greg Dacyshyn, Creative Director at Large for Burton. “Working with them is always a fun and dynamic process because they give us a lot of artistic freedom. This time around we went for a classic utilitarian vibe, featuring duck camo prints and alert orange accents. The end result is a very cool watch that strikes that balance for both outdoor and urban adventures."

Part of G-SHOCK’s popular Master of G line, the MUDMASTER GG1000BTN-1A features G-SHOCK’s twin sensor technology of digital compass and thermometer, as well as a special mud and debris-resistant structure, making it a perfect companion for the tough, snowy conditions on the slopes.

In celebration of the collaboration, a video was created highlighting some of Burton’s favorite moments on the road and underscoring the brand’s ethos of no bad trips. View video here.

The model comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of shock resistance, 200M water resistance, an auto LED super illuminator light, world time (with 31 time zones in 48 Cities + UTC), four daily alarms and one snooze alarm, a 1/100th second stopwatch and countdown timer, as well as 12/24hr formats – all in a 55.3mm case.

The MUDMASTER GG100BTN1-A will retail for $380 and beginning in March 5th, 2018, and will be available for purchase at G-SHOCK retailers, including select fashion apparel , select Macy’s, gshock.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho Store. The watch will also be available at select Burton Flagship stores and select partner stores.

About G-SHOCK
CASIO’s shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe’s dream of ‘creating a watch that never breaks’. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as ‘the toughest watch of all time’. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure.
