From G-SHOCK, the watch brand that is always finding ways to incorporate world culture icons into exciting new designs, comes a new Formless Tai Chi model by Chen YingJie. This new model was specially designed by Chen YingJie who is a Chinese artist who creates works that incorporate traditional Eastern ink painting and Western street art. The base MT-G model was specially selected by Chen YingJie himself, based on its powerful metal design. The design theme for this model is the Chinese philosophy of Tai Chi. The root of Tai Chi is the concept that all natural things and laws in the world change with the flow of time. This is expressed by the black ion-plating and original print technology applied in the designs of these models. The back engraving of the MT-G model has a Tai Chi concept design. The model comes in packaging that has a unique design that identifies it as a special model. A special G-SHOCK model whose overall designs express the flow of time, change, and concept of the universe. Chen YingJie was born in 1991 in Foshan, Guangdong, China. His works incorporate various materials that reflect the relationship between traditional Eastern ink painting and Western street art. Recently, complex magazine in the U.S. named him one of the “25 Contemporary Chinese Artists You Need to Know."
