EQB501 Color Additions Bring Style to Summer

DOVER, NJ, May11, 2017 – With summer just around the corner, Casio America, Casio America, Inc. is excited to announce two new color additions to its EDIFICE EQB-501 men’s timepiece collection. Available in June, the EQB501D-1A features green accents while the EQB501DB-2A comes with a dark blue ion plated bezel and blue accents. Both timepieces include a stylish solid stainless steel band and case, and they are protected with a scratch resistant mineral crystal, making them the ultimate tool travelers this summer.

“Casio’s new EQB501D-1A and EQB501DB-2A are great additions to the EDIFICE EQB-501 line, as they offer great color options for men," said David Johnson, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “The new color distinctions, combined with Casio’s leading-edge Mobile Link Technology and Tough Solar Power design, not only emanate style but also provide our consumers with efficient and advanced functions."

Equipped with Casio’s Mobile Link Technologyand by downloading the CASIO WATCH+ app and connecting via Bluetooth® SMART, the EQB501D-1A and EQB501DB-2A can easily connect to any compatible smartphone. Once connected, the watches can access the time in their current location and for up to 300 different cities worldwide, even updating automatically for time zone and Daylight Saving Time changes. In addition, Casio’s Mobile Link Technology provides enhanced accuracy by automatically syncing to a time server on the internet four times a day or can be easily synced by a one-push reset instead of having to hold down a button. Additional features include a hand position setting, Phone Finder and email check.

Both the EQB501D-1A and EQB501DB-2A feature Casio’s innovative Tough Solar Power system, giving the watches a battery life of approximately seven months after a full-charge and eliminating the need for battery changes. This advanced solar powered technology provides a special power save feature that enables the watches to power down by itself when not exposed to light for a certain period of time. Additionally, Casio’s Tough Solar Power technology allows for the EQB501D-1A and EQB501DB-2A to be charged in low or fluorescent light.

The EQB501D-1A ($300) and EQB501DB-2A ($320) are also designed with a 3D dial, a speed indicator, an alarm, a stopwatch and are water resistant up to 100 meters. Both timepieces will be available nationwide this June at Fred Meyer Jewelers, select Macy’s, and ShopCasio.
