G-SHOCK GRAVITYMASTER Range Receives Titanium Enhancement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

G-SHOCK GRAVITYMASTER RANGE RECEIVES TITANIUM ENHANCEMENT

Multi-function, aviation series addition debuts July 2015

DOVER, NEW JERSEY, JULY 24TH, 2014 – Casio America, Inc. builds on their GRAVITYMASTER series with the introduction of a titanium-infused version of the G-SHOCK GRAVITYMASTER GPS Atomic Solar Hybrid GPW1000T-1A.

This black titanium color way offers a style that is refined in look, but rugged in nature. The latest model in the GRAVITYMASTER series is designed with the Triple G Resist tough structure inherent to this aviation inspired series Shock Resistance, Vibration Resistance and Centrifugal Force Resistance all within a 200M water resistance case. The model assembled with a titanium 64 bezel ring embellished with a DLC (Diamond like Carbon) coating for enhanced abrasion resistance and sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating. Titanium is also used for the case back, band lugs, strap keeper, and buckle, making them lightweight and rust-resistant.  As such the utilization of titanium parts cuts approximately 10% in weight as compared to the original GPW-1000.

The GPW-1000T is equipped with low-power consumption, high-performance GPS LSI manufactured by Sony Corporation. The Sony and Casio collaborative technology creates a customized timepiece functionality achieving world-leading low power consumption. Combining Multi-Band 6 technology, allowing users to receive Radio Wave signals transmitted from six stations around the world with leading GPS receiving functionality into a hybrid system, maintains accurate timekeeping easier than ever before. The GPW1000T automatically receives standard time-calibration radio waves where available and where signals are unavailable, the timepiece is able to receive GPS signals and adjust time, allowing the wearer to always view the correct time at the current location.

In addition to the robust design and GPS Atomic Solar Hybrid technology above, this multifunctional timepiece  also boasts Smart Access, Tough Movement, and multiple aviation functions including a Latitude Indicator, World Time (27TZ, 40 Cities + UTC), LED (Super Illuminator), Daily Alarm, Full Auto Calendar, 1/20th Sec Stopwatch (24 Min), Countdown Timer (24Hr), and Date/Date Display. Case Size is 56.00mm.

The GRAVITYMASTER GPW1000T-1A will retail for $1,350.00 USD and be available July 2015 at select jewelers, G-SHOCK.com, and the G- Shock NYC Soho store.

About G-SHOCK
CASIO’s shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe’s dream of ‘creating a watch that never breaks’. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as ‘the toughest watch of all time’. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe’s mantra “never, never give up”.
