FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CELEBRATE “WORLD MUSIC DAY" WITH CASIO
Casio’s Portfolio of Electronic Musical Instruments Enables Musicians of Every Skill-set to Participate

DOVER, NJ, June 21, 2017 - “World Music Day", also known as Make Music Day, is here once again and Casio America, Inc., is encouraging musicians of all levels to participate in the celebration. Since 1982, Make Music Day has been held on June 21st and has grown to include free community events and performances in hundreds of cities worldwide. Whether you attend an official Make Music Day event in your community or choose to participate from home, Casio’s portfolio of electronic musical instruments has a variety of products to ensure musicians of all levels can join in the celebration.

“Music is a universal language that spreads joy to so many, and that is why we at Casio encourage everyone to participate in the celebration of World Music Day, no matter their age, skill level, or preferred musical genre," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instrument Division. “From beginners to seasoned musicians, Casio offers a wide variety of digital pianos and keyboards to support your musical passion."

For beginner musicians, Casio’s LK-265 portable keyboard features a Key Lighting system, which illuminates keys to indicate which notes to play for 60 built-in songs. Casio’s Voice Fingering Guide, Step-up Lesson System, and Lesson Lite enables beginners to learn at their own individual pace. The lighted keys provide instruction and assistance, allowing users to gain experience and eventually play on their own. Additionally, the LK-265 features a direct connection to the Chordana Play app, which allows users to download their favorite songs via MIDI file. In addition, Casio’s exciting new Dance Music Mode divides the piano keyboard into different instrument sections like drums, bass, and more. By playing different combinations of keys, users can easily create and instantly remix interesting and exciting dance music. Dance Music Mode offers 50 built-in styles, as well as familiar effects like stutter and filter.

For aspiring players, Casio’s CGP-700 Compact Grand Piano delivers an authentic piano feel that musicians expect from a grand piano in a more compact design. The Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer action keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory keys delivers an authentic piano feel that provides the weight and resistance of an actual grand piano. Casio’s Color Touch Interface™, a premium icon-based 5.3" touch display, takes technology to a new level. This bright, clear interface allows musicians to easily choose tones, select rhythms, split and layer sounds. Instrument tones and rhythms - including a meticulously recorded 9-foot concert grand piano - are organized by category for easy selection. Extensive production features, such as USB audio recording, a 17-track MIDI recorder, and class-compliant USB connectivity are also built in.

Experienced professionals will appreciate the unprecedented grand piano experience found in Casio’s CELVIANO GP-500 Grand Hybrid Digital Piano. Through a convergence of acoustic and digital technologies, the subtle nuisances of the world’s finest grand pianos are reproduced. The GP-500’s Grand Acoustic Sound System generates a space of three-dimensional sound and represents the sound of a grand piano as it emanates from above and below the soundboard. Due to the careful positioning of six speakers and the creation of sound pathways, the system delivers three-dimensional sound with tonal elongation, expansion and depth. The GP-500 also includes Casio’s AiR Grand Sound Source, which faithfully recreates the same sound and reverberation like that of a grand piano, as well as a Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard which delivers authentic grand piano feel and impacts the playing response of a grand piano. The mechanism conveys delicate finger nuances more accurately, and enables dynamic touch, allowing the pianist to play in a completely natural way.
