CASIO’S EDIFICE TIMEPIECES HELP WORLD TRAVELERS ‘FALL BACK’
EDIFICE Models Offer Timekeeping Technology that Automatically Updates for Daylight Saving Time

DOVER NJ, October 30, 2015 – Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends on the first Sunday of November each year, and on Sunday, November 1 at 1:59:59 a.m., in complying areas across the country everyone will receive an extra hour in their day. Whether going on a trip overseas or across town, Casio America, Inc., has a variety of timepieces, like the latest EDIFICE EQB-500 which offers Casio’s Mobile Link Technology, to help consumers - and especially business travelers – stay in sync with the time change.

“At Casio, we know our consumers are constantly on the go, and they need a timepiece to keep up with their busy pace - whether it’s taking a red-eye coast to coast or jet-setting overseas," said David Johnson, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “With the EDIFICE EQB-500, we make adjusting for Daylight Saving Time or switching time zones a seamless process so consumers don’t miss a beat."

In addition to automatically adjusting for Daylight Saving Time, Casio’s Mobile Link Technology allows the EQB-500 and other Bluetooth® enabled Edifice Timepieces to connect to a smartphone with just one push of a button. By downloading the CASIO WATCH+ app and connecting to a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth® SMART, the watch can access the correct time in its current location and for over 300 cities worldwide. Users also have the capability to switch out the specified home time and world time with the press of a button, as well as correct alarms and other time settings. Other key features include:

  • Casio’s Tough Solar Power
  • Phone finder function
  • Water resistance up to 100 meters
  • Power save feature
