CASIO G-SHOCK PARTNERS WITH BURTON SNOWBOARDS FOR SECOND  COLLABORATION
Leaders in technology and snowboarding lifestyle legends team up for December 2015 release

DOVER, NEW JERSEY, November 12, 2015 – Esteemed watchmakers Casio G-SHOCK and leading snowboarding and lifestyle brand Burton Snowboards created a custom timepiece using one of G-Shock’s highest-performing models, the Rangeman to create their second edition collaboration watch.

The limited edition G-SHOCK x Burton GW9400BTJ-8 Rangeman is built for survival and designed to withstand the harshest environments. The Burton Rangeman comes fortified with G-SHOCK’s legendary Shock Resistance and 200M Water Resistance and is fully loaded with V3 Triple Sensor Technology allowing for altimeter, compass and barometer/thermometer readings.  A dedicated sensor button, developed specifically for the Rangeman to withstand harsh impacts via its unique cylindrical structure, delivers single point access to critical information. Additional features include Sunrise & Sunset Data, Time Stamp (40 Records), Tough Solar Power, Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping allowing for automatic time changes in any time zone, Full Auto LED (Super Illuminator) Light, World Time 31 Time Zones (48 Cities + UTC), 4 Daily Alarms + 1 Snooze Alarm, 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch (1000Hr), Countdown Timer (24Hr) and 12/24 Hour Time Formats.

A key motif for both G-SHOCK and Burton, camouflage was incorporated into the design in winter shades of light blue and stark white on the watch band. Burton Chief Creative Officer Greg Dacyshyn elaborates on the inspiration behind the collaborative timepiece: u201cI was super excited to work with G-Shock on another watch collaboration, and for this round the theme was 'survival in any situation'. The Rangeman model is designed for just that, which is why it created the perfect platform. For the Burton X G-Shock project, we focused on "digital winter camouflage" as the key aesthetic. I have always had a fascination with camo, not only because it has a really cool look but it is also key to survival in a lot of u201creal worldu201d situations.u00a0 Following G-Shocku2019s 'Absolute Toughness' brand ethos, all the amazing technical features were developed to perform in the harshest environments, including a sensor button and other function indicators on the black dial highlighted in safety orange, for high visibility against a snow conditions background. The result is an amazing performance product that looks great on and off the mountain.u201d

The G-SHOCK x Burton Snowboards timepiece GW9400BTJ-8 Rangeman will retail for $480 USD and will be available in December 2015 at the G-Shock NYC SoHo store, select fashion boutiques, department stores and jewelers.
