DOVER, NJ, September 22, 2016 - This September, Casio America, Inc. is excited to highlight well-known keyboardist Steve Weingart as part of its Artist Program. For decades Casio, a leading manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, has committed itself to providing musicians with the tools they need to inspire a passion to learn, love and create music. As such, the company’s Artist Program fosters both aspiring and established musicians by providing multiple levels of support. As part of the program, Weingart performed and presented a piano technique masterclass at the debut of the Spotlight on Casio display at NAMM’s Museum of Making Music earlier this month.

“We are honored that Steve is part of the Casio Artist family," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instruments Division. “Steve’s talent, dedication and passion for music make him a natural fit for Casio’s Artist Program and we couldn’t be happier that he prefers to use Casio’s high performance keyboards for both recording and performing."

Steve Weingart .has enjoyed a career spanning 20 years, and has performed or recorded with the likes of Dave Weckl, Chaka Khan, Eric Marienthal, Victor Wooten, and Warren Hill among others. Weingart spent years touring the world with drummer Dave Weckl’s band in addition to writing and co-writing songs for numerous albums including ‘Transition’, ‘Perpetual Motion’, ‘Live and Very Plugged In’, and ‘Multiplicity’. Weingart then became widely known for his work with Steve ‘Luke’ Lukather, a Los Angeles guitar session legend.

A recent project saw the continuation of the successful musical relationship between Weingart and Simon Phillips, co‐producer and drummer, with the formation of a power jazz/rock group also featuring guitarist Andy Timmons and bassist Ernest Tibbs. The group recently returned from touring in support of their CD, ‘Protocol III’. On tour, Weingart uses an all Casio rig consisting of two Privia Pro PX-5S stage pianos and a XW-P1 performance synthesizer.

Currently, Weingart is working on a duet collaboration with his wife, vocalist Renee Jones, after he was inspired by playing on Casio’s CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Piano. The duet project will exclusively feature the Grand Hybrid GP-500 and Jones’ vocals, and is currently planned to be released this fall.

Weingart is part of the current roster of artists including Larry Dunn, Danny Bedrosian, Tom Brislin, and more. For additional information about Casio’s Artist Program or portfolio of electronic musical instruments, please visit www.CasioMusicGear.com.
