FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CASIO RECEIVES 2016 PRODUCT EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM MUSIC INC.
Casio’s CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Digital Pianos Honored for Innovative and World-Class Technology

DOVER, NJ, November 22, 2016 - Casio America, Inc., a leading innovator in the world of electronic musical instrument technology, is proud to announce that its line of CELVIANO Grand Hybrid digital pianos has received a 2016 Product Excellence Award from Music Inc. Magazine. The Excellence Awards are voted on by retailers who selected products that were an impressive success in 2016. All of the winning products will be featured in Music Inc. Magazine’s annual December Excellence Issue.

“Casio has always been committed to providing musicians with the highest quality and technology driven instruments, and we are honored to be recognized by Music Inc. Magazine for our line of CELVIANO Grand Hybrid digital pianos," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instrument Division. “The Grand Hybrid line, which includes the GP-500, GP-300 and the GP-400, delivers an unprecedented level of realism thanks to its blend of innovation and tradition. For the first time, pianists can play a truly authentic grand piano action in the size of an upright."

Casio’s Grand Hybrid digital pianos were developed in collaboration with famed German piano manufacturer C. Bechstein, and come equipped with its Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard technology. This one-of-a-kind mechanism includes full-length wooden concert grand piano keys, using matching materials and methods as found in C. Bechstein grand pianos. A keypress sends a hammer along the same exact vertical path as a grand piano, with accurate pivot points and scaled weighting, resulting in a true piano touch that allows the musician to play in a completely natural manner. Also featured in this line is the AiR Grand Sound Source, which recreates the sonic and physical characteristics of three legendary grand pianos, dubbed Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna. All models within Casio’s Grand Hybrid portfolio also include the Grand Acoustic System that generates a space of three-dimensional sound that emanates from speakers above and below the soundboard. This simulation allows for both rich and complex sound that not only fills a room but also resonates with the musician and the audience.

The GP-400BK($4,999), GP-300($3,999) and GP-500BP ($5,999) are available now at select music dealers nationwide. To learn more about Casio’s full portfolio of electronic musical instruments including the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid line of digital pianos, please visit www.CasioMusicGear.com.
